Diagnostic Test

A diagnostic test for the SAT in IB Villa evaluates a student's current proficiency in reading, writing, and math. It identifies strengths and weaknesses relative to SAT requirements. This assessment helps instructors create personalized study plans, focusing on areas needing improvement, ensuring efficient and targeted preparation for the actual SAT exam, thereby maximizing the student's potential score.

Evaluation

After completing the diagnostic test, we conduct an in-depth review session with the student and their parent to discuss the results. For those opting for the ACT/SAT diagnostic, we compare the scores from both exams to assist in making an informed decision between the two. Following this, we strategize a tailored exam preparation plan based on the chosen standardized test.

Classes

Each student is assigned a mentor, and class schedules are customized to fit their preferences and availability. Classes, held three times a week, cover exam content and specific classwork, along with homework equivalent to over 20 practice papers. This intensive approach addresses learning gaps, aiming for completion within 8-12 weeks.

After the sectional testing phase, the Full-Length Test (FLT) cycle begins. Students gain access to the IB Villa SAT Testing Portal, which mimics the College Board's BluebookPortal, providing an authentic test experience. This rigorous testing regimen builds resilience for exam day challenges. Students complete 12 to 16 extensive full-length tests before the final exam, ensuring optimal readiness.

Ans: Apart from the US, 85 countries recognize SAT scores for admissions. In USA, more than 4,000 colleges accept SAT scores, while in the UK, the number is 125. Other countries such as Canada, India, Japan, Australia, Mexico, UAE, Malaysia, and Singapore also have universities that consider SAT scores for admissions.

Ans: You can take the SAT as many times as you’d like! However, most students opt for one or two attempts. If you do take it twice, colleges may consider your highest score or request both scores12. We recommend taking it at least twice—once in the spring of your junior year and again in the fall of your senior year.
